Government accused of not following advice of scientists who wanted a short, sharp lockdown 3 weeks ago as a 'circuit breaker', warning of large cv numbers if they didn't. Also advised students taking lectures from home.

Epidemic numbers doubling every 7 to 14 days.

Tameside hospital not taking in any more hearts now as restrictions have become more strict and visitors are not allowed to reception.  But 2,357 pairs of matching hearts already made for them so I've done my bit!

Lancashire put into tier 3 but Andy Burnham mayor of Gtr Mcr, refused to accept it.

Gyms in Lancashire can stay open under tier 3 but those in Liverpool - also tier 3 - can't. So the simplified 3 tier system already has tier 3a and tier 3b 🥴

Walk at Foulridge along the canal then lunch at the Anchor which was nearly empty.


No deal Brexit looking likely. Good analogy!..

Andy Burnham still holding out for more monetary help for businesses in the region as the area has already done 11 weeks of local lockdown. He said the government was exaggerating the figures for Gtr Mcr.

Carol's scan results were better than thought. Slight growth of the tumour but no spread. And possibly more chemo if her kidneys are ok.

Picked up Luca - he was very excited waiting for us!
